*~*~*~*   August Offerings *~*~*~*

I cannot believe that it is already August. Soon a cooler breeze will come in and it will be Fall before you know it, so I am enjoying these waning days of Summer. Please enjoy my offerings this month.

Each of the samplers that I create are my own One-Of-A-Kind designs, made without patterns, just a simple needle and thread and away I go, putting love into every stitch. Some of them have intentional mistakes and/or missing letters as old samplers might have had.

Blessings to all!

Phebe Bolton 1854

Even though Fall is a couple of months away, I couldn't help but create an Autumn inspired sampler.  This has been stitched onto antique linen and heavily aged and distressed.  It was stitched by Phebe Bolton in 1854.

She has stitched a full uppercase alphabet, full number set as well as antique Fall motifs (a maple tree with changing leaves, acorns and a few squirrels.

This is a very large sampler. It has been framed in an antique wooden frame, behind the original glass. It measures 12 1/4" x 15 1/2". It is paperbacked and has tiny copper nails and wire for hanging. It has been signed and dated by myself on the back.
